Practise a balanced argument on your own
Original product editorial · Reviewer pending · Updated 25 October 2026
Define the terms of the topic before arguing. For “Should businesses use AI in hiring?”, separate screening support from final decisions. Identify affected people and the decision being made.
Prepare one case for the proposition, one counterargument and the evidence that could change your view. Do not present an unsourced statistic as fact. Acknowledge uncertainty.
Deliver a brief opening, respond respectfully to an imagined objection and write a neutral summary. This is individual preparation; no real group discussion or peer evaluation has occurred.
